
Bio
Tomasz Bura is a Pianist, Composer and Keyboard player born in Poland. He has studied classical piano for one year at the Academy of Music in Katowice and graduated with distinction at the Stanislaw Moniuszko Music School in Zabrze after 12 of studies in classical piano, harmony and improvisation.
In Poland, he had a trio of original music with drummer Atma Anur and bass player Michal Baranski. He then joined Schmidt Electric as a composer songwriter, pianist and keyboardist; one of the most established Electric Jazz groups in Poland and released two albums.
After he moved to London UK, having integrated the London Jazz fusion and funk scene, Tomasz has been performing and touring across Europe and Africa, namely France, Germany, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Italy, Turkey and Nigeria. He was a session musician and collaborated on various live and studio projects with the members of Jamiroquai, Sola Akingbola (Generation Vex) Incognito, Wretch 32, Fine young Cannibals, PB Underground, Reel People, Marcus Anderson (Prince) and world-renowned guitarist Alex Hutchings. He performed at some of the top venues in London with various artists including the Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club. He has performed live on various t.v and radio shows namely MTV, BBC, Channel 1, BBC Radio 1, BBC London Radio, TSF Jazz in Paris.
In 2015 Tomasz released a solo piano album ‘Ritual’, and created his jazz ensemble which in 2018 turned into “The Scientists”.
