Timea is a dedicated piano teacher and accompanist hailing from Hungary. With a passion for music that spans from teaching to performing, she has held various teaching positions in music schools and has a wealth of experience in accompanying and playing chamber music. Timea is a graduate of the College of Ferenc Liszt Music Academy, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music and Piano Teacher diploma with honors. Throughout her career, she has participated in piano competitions, securing third place at the Budapest Piano Competition and receiving a special prize at the National Piano Competition of Hungary, Bekes-Tarhos. Her musical journey has taken her to prestigious venues such as the Ferenc Liszt Music Academy, the Hungarian Cultural Centre of London, The Hungarian Embassy, and other locations in Germany, Austria, and Finland. Timea’s deep interest in music education has led her to pursue courses in piano teaching methodology, early childhood education, musical skills development, and music therapy.
With 18 years of teaching experience, Timea is a passionate educator who believes in the transformative power of music. She bases her teaching on Kodaly’s philosophy, emphasizing the importance of a well-trained ear, intelligence, heart, and hand. Timea has worked with students of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced, creating a supportive and inspiring learning environment. She tailors her lessons to each student’s individual abilities and learning style, fostering self-expression, imagination, and creativity. Timea’s teaching approach combines academic knowledge with the art of storytelling and emotional expression, helping her students develop both theoretical and technical skills, as well as the secrets of artistic interpretation. Her friendly, enthusiastic personality, coupled with her extensive musical knowledge and excellent communication skills, makes her teaching style unique. Her students regularly perform at concerts, participate in competitions, and achieve merit and distinction in ABRSM and Trinity exams.
