Signe Pruus


Signe has been playing violin since she was 7 years old,  studied violin for over 15 years in various schools in Estonia. After studying at Põlva Music School and Tallin Music High School, she did a postgraduate degree at The Estonian Theatre and Music Academy where she graduated in 1997.

She has wide experience. Having played in The European Youth Orchestra in Stuttgart (1993). She played first violin in several chamber orchestras in Estonia. She has worked as a violin teacher for 20 years in The Põlva Music School, including many orchestra performances abroad,  in Canada, Ukraine, Germany, Finland, Russia etc.

Signe enjoys seeing her students love music and develop their skills on their chosen instrument.

After many years experience with students she knows that each child has unique abilities. She looks for the most suitable teaching methods for each student to bring out the best in them! Students whom she has had the honour to teach have by now reached higher music education, which makes any teacher happy.

After moving to London she joined the charity orchestra “The Pico Players”. Currently she is working as a private violin teacher.
