Jade Kong

Bio

Jade Kong is an energetic, vibrant and versatile violinist/violist. She graduated from the University of Cambridge with a PGCE (secondary education) and University of Nottingham with a BA in Music. Born and raised in a musical family, she began learning the violin at the age of 5.

 

Since the age of 7, Jade has been involved with the Bromley Youth Music Trust (BYMT), playing in orchestras such as the Bromley Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Bromley Youth Chamber Orchestra and string quartets. She toured around countries such as Germany, France, Spain, Slovenia, Slovakia, Croatia and Italy. She has also performed in important venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Fairfield Hall and Birmingham Symphony Hall etc. As part of BYMT, Jade was involved with a string Sextet called Sixtus, who in 2017 won the Beckenham Festival – Ensemble category. Whilst at University she was a part of orchestra’s such as the University of Cambridge’s Sinfonia and University of Nottingham’s University Philharmonia and Sinfonia.
