Music is my life’s passion, I gravitated to the piano at 3 years old and once it grabbed me it has never let go.
Having studied at Trinity-Laban Conservatoire of music in Greenwich for six years I received my High Diploma in jazz piano. This was followed by moving onto more advanced training which resulted in graduating with a Bmus(Hons) degree in Jazz Piano with a scholarship from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. I play regularly around London/UK and often perform at the prestigious Ronnie Scott’s Jazz club Soho. Music in general, particularly piano, and especially JAZZ has been a huge part of my life.
I consider teaching to be a joy purely as my focus is to pass the passion I feel for the music onto the student. My lessons would be a little different than most standard piano lessons as I aim to show the student the possibilities the piano has to offer and to help the student discover the MANY angles in which to play it.
I like to focus on more of an intuitive and more expressive aspects of the instrument learning for example playing by ear and exploring iimprovisational techniques and methods. Therefore, my students can continue to explore the piano by composing, listening, transcribing and always continue to learn by alternating those.
No matter if you are a beginner, intermediate or an advanced player, there is always room to grow and I’m happy to share my knowledge, advice tips and tricks for you to become a better player. My method works for levels of proficiency and age groups.
Lessons cover all the necessary areas from basic exercises, learning your favourite pieces to advanced performance methods. I will also teach you how to compose, improvise, & play a piece of music from ear, exploring the jazz harmony, jazz chords, and help develop your memory skills as well.
Looking forward to seeing you!
